We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer  to join our Connected Home Solutions organisation in North Ryde, Sydney.

This role presents an excellent opportunity to put into practice your Python development skills and to build a career in software testing.

In this role you will join our Connected Home Solutions organisation in Sydney and work alongside our global development teams to help drive the advancement of digital TV technology to design, build and deliver the best connected home solutions that enable success & build growth; differentiating product sales with a deep understanding of customer needs, allowing them to deliver the best experiences.

As a QA Engineer you will be responsible for testing full-stack set-top-box softwarewhich combines traditional broadcast content with Video On Demand and OTT applications and for designing and automating solutions to help reduce manual test effort, increasing test coverage, improving test processes and the efficiency of testing and for promoting our test automation agenda

You will be working alongside industry leading partners, a global team and can benefit from a competitive salary and a hybrid working model.

To apply for this role you’ll need to have a good knowledge of the fundamentals of testing and be capable of developing tests in an automation framework.

Skills Required:

• 2-5 years demonstratable Python development skills and the ability to write test automation scripts
• Awareness of the Jenkins CI application
• Test Case creation skills
• The ability to learn new features quickly
• An ability to deliver within fixed timescales
• Excellent written, communication and reporting skills

Skills Required (Preferred):

• An awareness of Digital TV technology and features
• Exposure to REST API's
• Low-Level debugging and issue diagnosis skills
• Experience of test management, defect management and collaboration tools
