Now hiring a Production Planner  to join Commscope at extraordinary exciting times, as we are experiencing an expansion of new lines!

You will join our Operations team, working with the Operations Manager based in our Bodelwyddan, North Wales location where there is a chance to create a real impact on the Planning team in the UK and Worldwide.

How You'll Help us Connect The World

The Production Planner will work together with onsite production and logistics teams, and the focus is on managing the production schedules across multiple production lines to deliver products on time and in full as per customer demands. 

Typically daily tasks will include providing estimated lead times for order inquiries, scheduling the manufacturing for receievd orders, ordering the required raw materials, providing operations teams with daily/weekly production plans, providing regular updates to customers on the progress of orders, and scheduling the shipments of finished goods. 

You will have the chance to define daily work priorities within the department to facilitate production and resolve problems with inventory or material shortages through a review of the SAP system and transaction documentation

On top of this, you play a central role between customer and supplier, offering a high service level based on customer expectations, and intensive daily interaction with the customer service team is required.

Your ability to build a constructive relationship with several supplying parties and communicate in an effective way will be key to thriving in the role.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • Extensive planning/operations experience within manufacturing or Bachelor's Degree in relevant field plus recent experience in resource planning.
  • Proven track record to drive successful inventory optimization, on-time delivery, and lead time responsiveness within a manufacturing organization.
  • Recent experience working with Customer Service and/or Sales teams is essential. Experience collaboration with Demand Planning and Product Line Management functions. beneficial
  • Significant experience with SAP and reporting tools required, Including routings, work centers, materials, BOMs, PVs, and production orders.

You Will Excite Us If You Have

  • Experience with S4 Hana & Fiori.
  • Experience planning multi-stage manufactruing processes
  • Experience working in an extrusion or assembly manufacturing facility
