Your role as a Test Engineer includes taking responsibility for the quality of the design of a released product, monitors each stage of the product development process to ensure that the design meets international and / or customer standards.

You put quality above everything else, even if it means having open conversations with team members and are willing to postpone a product release to maintain product quality. You always keep the users in mind when testing the product.

What your role includes:

  • SPOC for all test related activities within a product development project (fe optical, mechanical and electrical tests).
  • Full Project Core Team Member throughout the project.
  • Generate detailed test plans and timelines based on product application, Commscope Performance Specifications and customer requirements.
  • Approve final test plans and implementation schedules
  • Ensure that all test tools (Test Technicians & Equipment) are available on time.
  • Collaborate with the Test Lab Manager to predict, plan and execute test activities.
  • Timely delivery of test reports according to the project timeline.
  • Technical advice / support to Product Development Engineers in solving problems.
  • Follow-up and support of Test Technicians.
  • Review and approve test reports.
  • Handle multiple test projects simultaneously and provide planning support to project managers.

Your profile:

  • Master's degree in industrial sciences (eg mechanics, optics or electronics), min 2 years of experience.
  • Excellent team player - good communicator
  • Analytical / critical thinking - problem solving skills
  • Work in an organized, accurate and structured manner
  • Learn quickly and want to learn
  • Time Management and being able to set the right priorities
  • (very) good knowledge of and application of statistical methods in testing and result analysis (6 sigma black belt equivalent)
  • MS office user - including MS Project (desirable)
  • Fluent Dutch (desirable) & English reading, writing & speaking (essential)
  • Live the four values: integrity, innovation, teamwork and continuous improvement
